The audience will learn how the introduction of Biotech Vac \u2013 Salmonella in South America will provide the poultry immunologic protection against all motile species of Salmonella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The viewers will learn how Biotech Vac allows the protection of several hosts of pathogen families in an effort to stop the transmission to and from humans, animals, birds, fish, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>There are more than 2600 serovars of Salmonella enterica bacteria; not all of them affect humans, but trying to aim individually to serovars representing a risk of food-borne diseases is a Whack-a-mole game. The technology Biotech Vac Salmonella Platform was an international effort for designing a strategy to control salmonellosis in humans,<\/em>\u201d said Sherry Layton, Ph.D. International Scientific Director of Vetanco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the program will explore how the platform enables the options \u201cplug and play\u201d, that allow itself to quickly update as new diseases arise, which reduces significantly the time to market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThe science behind Biotech Vac is a combination of comparative genomics and proteomics along with synthetic biology. Those 2600 serovars have a central proteome and we have identified preserved protecting antigens with which we then clone and produce a Bacillus, a factory of natural proteins completely innocuous but highly efficient. Once the antigens are produced and formulated, we can administer the vaccine to the animal efficiently<\/em>,\u201d added Layton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>By doing things differently, the platform is helping to clear the doubts and worries of consumers about the reaction to vaccine and reversion to virulence<\/em>\u201d, commented Colin Ferguson, senior producer of the series Advancements. \u201c<em>We expect to look into this in the program<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The episode will be broadcasted through Bloomberg, by the TV and satellite providers, and then by Amazon Prime Video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Advancements and DMG Productions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advancements is an educative TV series based on information that explores the latest developments taking place in different industries and economies.
