Vetanco Launched in Atlanta a New Edition of Its Mycotoxins e-Book Featuring the Largest Survey Conducted in Latin America

Atlanta, United States, January 27 – Vetanco launched a new edition of its Mycotoxins E-book in an event held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Hotel, which gathered technical leads, collaborators from various subsidiaries, and company clients from all over the region.

The meeting opened with a working breakfast session organized by Vetanco’s technical team, followed by a central presentation attended by 80 participants on site and more than 100 joining via Zoom, with simultaneous interpretation in English and Portuguese.

The event was conducted by Dr. Martin Cardaci, Vetanco’s International Business Manager, while Dr. Bruno Vecchi Galenda, Poultry Technical Manager, officially unveiled the e-Book Mycotoxins: Prevalence in Latin America – 2025 Survey.

This new survey establishes Vetanco’s Prevalence e-Book as one of the most robust and representative mycotoxin databases in Latin America. During the evaluated period, more than 32,000 samples were analyzed, representing an unprecedented volume of analytical determinations, which provides a strong statistical power and predictive value to the observed results.

Among the main novelties of this edition is the inclusion of Chile among the countries surveyed —Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Chile, and Uruguay— as well as the planned expansion of the analysis in 2026, to cover ruminants, in addition to swine and poultry.

The results of the 2025 Survey confirm that the mycotoxin challenge in Latin America continues to be structural and multifactorial, dominated by co-exposure, with a clear predominance of Fusarium toxins, both in terms of prevalence and toxic load. This scenario reinforces the need for holistic control strategies, capable of simultaneously targeting different mycotoxins and mechanisms of action.

In this context, Detoxa Plus is positioned as a tool of choice for the integrated management of mycotoxin risk, offering a comprehensive approach to high-prevalence, high load, and co-contamination scenarios, while helping to protect animal health and sustain optimal productive performance in increasingly demanding systems.

During the conference, Mr. Vecchi Galenda also announced the launch of new Vetanco software designed to complement the analysis of mycotoxins. Developed over three years of work, the software will provide decision-making tools for the control and treatment of mycotoxins. Its implementation and training are set to begin later this year.
