Vetanco Hosts a Delegation from the Jamaica Broilers Group

Strengthening collaboration on biotechnology solutions and control strategies for poultry productivity and health

In March, Vetanco welcomed representatives from the Jamaica Broilers Group to Argentina. Jamaica Broilers Group is a strategic client with whom Vetanco is working to develop a long-term commercial alliance, particularly focused on solutions related to animal productivity and food safety.

This visit was initiated and coordinated by the Regional management team in collaboration with the Corporate Poultry Technical services team at our headquarters in Argentina. It reflects our strong commitment to provide trustable solutions, both products and services.

The delegation included Dr. Elton Burnett, Health Services and Laboratory Leader; Dr. Kareen Robinson, Grow-out and Veterinary Team Leader; and Dr. Lydia Hutchinson, a member of the veterinary team specializing in vaccination and sampling.

The primary objective of the visit was to follow up on the progress of the implementation of Biotech Vac Salmonella, which is currently under extensive field evaluation by the company. To support this, an intensive three-day technical program was carried out, focusing on knowledge exchange, shared experiences, and showcasing Vetanco’s scientific, technological, and production capabilities.

During the visit, the guests toured CDMO – Centro de Diagnóstico Veterinario, where they had the opportunity to see the biotechnology plant and vaccine production processes firsthand, including quality standards and associated control systems.

The delegation also visited Vetanco’s facility in Villa Martelli, where they participated in a technical workshop alongside key members of the Vetanco and BV Science teams, including Dr. Sherry Layton, Scientific Director; Dr. Mariano Fernández Miyakawa, Innovation and Development in Feed Leader; Dr. Bruno Vecchi Galenda, Regional Poultry Technical Manager; Dr. Martín Cardaci, International Business Manager; Irma Cecilia Reyes, Regional Poultry Consultant; and Pedro Mesa, Technical Sales Representative for the Colombia subsidiary.

The program included presentations focused on innovation, Vetanco’s integrated vision, the future of vaccines in the poultry industry, and relevant success stories, fostering valuable technical dialogue between both teams.

Beyond the professional agenda, the visit also included opportunities to experience and enjoy Buenos Aires, further strengthening relationships and reinforcing the bond between the two companies.

This visit represents another meaningful step in building a strong strategic relationship with the Jamaica Broilers Group, based on trust, innovation, and the joint development of high-value solutions for the poultry industry.
