Vetanco’s Poultry Division hosted a new edition of Egg Summit, the technical and strategic conference that brings together leaders from the poultry industry to discuss the sector’s main challenges and opportunities. Under the theme “Maximizing Results in Commercial Farming”, the event took place on May 12 at the Alvear Art Hotel in Buenos Aires and brought together professionals, producers, technicians, and industry leaders from various countries in the region.

The opening remarks were delivered by Horacio Mancini, Vice President of Vetanco, who emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for exchange that promote innovation, technical advancement, and the strengthening of strategic partnerships within the production chain. The first session was moderated by Ariel Sugezky, Poultry Sales Director, and featured a program focused on trends, competitiveness, animal health, and consumption.

During the first segment of the meeting, key issues facing the poultry market today were discussed. Eduardo de Souza Pinto, President of Operations at Hy-Line International, discussed the impact of avian influenza on the global egg market and the health challenges facing the industry. For his part, Daniel Boer, a specialist in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, and Sustainability, shared his insights on new consumer trends and the opportunities presented by the foodservice sector, while Damián Di Pace, a journalist covering economics, markets, and consumer trends, provided an up-to-date analysis of consumer habits and market behavior.
The 2026 edition of the Egg Summit also featured significant international participation, including both speakers and special guests from various countries in the region. Professionals and leaders from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Bolivia, and Peru participated in this day of technical and strategic exchange, underscoring the regional nature of the event.

The event was also attended by representatives from Vetanco’s subsidiaries and distributors, strengthening ties between the various markets and fostering the exchange of experiences, challenges, and opportunities within the Latin American poultry industry.
The agenda continued into the afternoon, focusing on value strategies, market positioning, and food safety. Moderated by Martin Cardaci, International Business Manager, the second session featured presentations aimed at strengthening the sector’s competitiveness in increasingly dynamic markets.

Among the highlights, Juan Felipe Montoya Muñoz, President of Incubadora Santander S.A. – Huevos Kikes, shared the company’s experience in building and strengthening its brand, while Diego F. Aldana Martínez, Technical & Marketing Manager at Vetanco Colombia, and Bruno Vecchi, Poultry Technical Manager, discussed leadership, differentiation, and adaptation in changing contexts.
The closing session focused on food safety, one of Vetanco’s strategic pillars, reaffirming the company’s commitment to producing safe and sustainable food. Finally, Thiago Tejkowski, Global Marketing Manager, delivered closing remarks highlighting the value of collaboration, technical exchange, and the joint development of knowledge to drive the industry’s growth.

With a strong turnout and a program of high technical caliber, Egg Summit 2026 once again established itself as a leading forum for professional development and strategic planning in the region’s poultry industry.
